Producer: TED NUGENT Is 'Singing And Playing Like A Pissed Of 20-Year-Old'

May 28, 2007

MelodicRock.com conducted an interview last week with Jack Blades, who is up to his neck producing the new studio album for Ted Nugent. The CD is being recorded at Jack's own Cock & Bottle Studio in a series of "slammin' one-takes." Tracks for the album were initially rehearsed over a two-week period by the full band for the record, which includes bassist Barry Sparks, drummer Tommy Clufetos and, of course, Ted Nugent on guitars and vocals. Jack Blades guests on bass on three of the album's cuts.

In Jack's words, Ted is "singing and playing like a pissed of 20-year-old", set to deliver an album packed with "the greatest, slamming full-bluntal nugity tour de force...", featuring Ted "really giving his middle finger to the world. It really is Ted at his 'Cat Scratch Fever' best" says Blades, who is excited to get the record done and into the hands of fans.

The record should be fully recorded in the next two weeks and is set to be released later this summer. Rumor has it the title of the record will be "Love Grenade".

On the chance to record the album in Jack's neighborhood, San Francisco's "wine country", Ted reportedly made this comment: "I'm coming to the wine country and once they hear me playing, they'll all be whining alright..."
